Brown bear (Ursus arctos)

 

Owing to ideal biotope and living conditions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, this is one of the few European countries with strong and stable population of brown bears. Therefore, we are able to offer you the opportunity of hunt in some of the last authentic European habitats of these forest giants. The majority of population resides in peaceful and untouched mountain regions of central and north-western Bosnia, on three-hour drive from the International Airport Sarajevo, where we organize game in cooperation with our partners. With special pride we note that in one of our hunting grounds, the world’s seventh largest trophy, rated at a whopping 613.44 CIC points, has been hunted! The mentioned hunting areas, as district with the largest bear population in the Balkans, hosted many world’s statesmen  and hunters, and is known as a favourite hunting ground of former Yugoslav President Tito.

The hunting is recommended in late fall / early winter (01.10 - 31.12) and in early spring (01.03 - 15.05) during the moonlight. The best quality fur and general appearance were recorded in November. The final dates of the game should be confirmed with our partners. Harvested trophies in the past years have proved the high value of the trophy bears, which often exceeds 450 CIC points. In order to organize and prepare the game, a reservation is needed at least two months in advance, so feel free to ask for our offer. We offer the organization of hunting in high quality grounds, from the closed and comfortable tall hunting stands. Bears regularly come to carcass dumps and hunting success is guaranteed.

 

We can offer individual hunting of brown bears in combination with other types of hunting, depending on your desires, capabilities  and your free time. We also offer a video camera recording of hunting with professional guides, photo safari from tall hunting stands, etc.
